Are there tools to connect Force Feedback wheels with unsupported racing titles? You’ve already used a USB adapter to turn your wheels into 360 controllers, but you’re unsure about steering alignment or force feedback. Your Logitech G25 works with Sonic Racing Transformed, but you want a solution for a younger player who prefers steering. Do you have both G25 and G29, and are there methods to integrate them with games that don’t natively support them?
Long ago I relied on Xpadder to mimic my G25 wheel as a 360 controller. Today I believe others prefer JoyToKey. https://joytokey.net/en/ and AntiMicroX https://github.com/AntiMicroX/antimicrox. I haven’t tried them yet. Can they be integrated into Logitech Profiler to function?
Many games will work with a specific peripheral if the manufacturer backs them. If it allows wheel use, the brand you choose shouldn't matter much. Just go with what you know works best.
Sonic Racing doesn't support wheels, which means they won't function properly. I also tried the G29 model. @xAcid9 said converting racing wheels to mouse and keyboard won't be effective since the system requires wheel-specific software due to its unique control features (such as gear shifts, pedals, and the X-axis design). It also needs to support analog input. The keyboard doesn't work analog, suggesting a lack of suitable software options. However, using the Logitech G25 with the MaxRace v3 adapter solved the issue. It appears as a PS3 controller in Windows, allowing Steam controller settings to work. I had to adjust all buttons in Steam and then used the default gamepad configuration, which made the wheel function correctly. I recently purchased a few G29s, but they don't work with MaxRace v3. I'm planning to try MaxRace v7 adapters once they're available, as they might be compatible.
