Hi everyone, I'm looking into using this AMD 3950x setup with the Z570 MB and four NVMe drives. The motherboard I'm using has two NVMe slots, one full x16 and another x16 running at x4 speeds. Can I fit this card into the seconds slot? I've checked the PCIe manual for guidance, but I'm unsure if it's compatible. I need to enable bifurcation for it to work, but I'm worried about connecting the extra lanes. I've used a single NVMe card before and it functioned, but not with four. I plan to keep my main drives in the MB and use this for additional tasks, not all at full speed simultaneously. Any suggestions?

Placed the card in and checked the BIOS—it only lets you bifurcate on the x16 port. It seems the lower x16 slot is just electronically linked for x4. I’m hoping there’s a card available with a controller so I could run 2 to 4 NVMe drives on a single x4 and share the bandwidth.

QNAP and Highpoint appear to be connected.
