I'm updating the laptop by removing unnecessary files, installing Windows 10, and applying fresh thermal paste. I'm checking if switching from Windows 7 32-bit to a 64-bit version of Windows 10 would be better.

You're not sure about the CPU type, are you? It's possible you need to perform a fresh installation. Do you know if your system is 64-bit?

The small upgrade appearing in your taskbar won’t be accessible from there. You’ll need to wait for Microsoft (or another party) to release the 64-bit Windows 10 ISO, save it to a flash drive, and install it on your PC using a code obtained via any code extractor tool.

It should automatically switch to a 32-bit W10 version. If you encounter issues, consider performing a clean installation.

It's a software tool you can download to reveal the activation codes for your computer software, such as Windows. When switching to Windows 10, these codes may get updated, making your existing file unusable.

You would add it to the upgraded computer via the option in your taskbar.

Have you tried this before, and if so, what method did you use?
