It's fine to refresh, but I rarely do unless an update meets a need or enhances my experience. In fact, I'd prefer not to update.

For the Ryzen 1000, assistance might be removed from lower-end boards to accommodate the Ryzen 5000. If it's already working fine, leave it alone.

It's actually a Ryzen 2000, not a 1000. It uses Zen+ technology at 12nm, not the newer 14nm process. That matters for performance and power efficiency.
