It’s good to be cautious. Repairing a card can be safe if you follow proper steps and use the right tools. Always disconnect power before handling components.

Several elements play a role, but why would a CV650 outperform another model? Evaluating a 4060 under idle conditions differs from stressing a 4090 under full load. Additional information is required.

Since I purchased the card for repairs, I'm uncertain whether it might harm the PSU.

The CV650 appears to be a solid choice with adequate protection. It should handle short circuits without risking damage to your power supply unit.

It appears a limited GPU might force the power supply to draw more current than it’s designed for. This scenario is unlikely, though the CV650 (even with its weak PSU) would likely shut down automatically. The probability of the card acting this way is minimal, and passing the overload is even less likely.

The CV650 isn't outstanding, yet it remains entirely secure.
