It's hard to predict since OEM boards rarely receive updates for upcoming Windows versions. A machine running a Core 2 Quad is probably from Windows Vista or earlier. It's unlikely Acer would provide drivers for a device that old. My IdeaPad was shipped with Windows 8, but even that lacks drivers for Windows 10. Including drivers in the OS isn't a guarantee, especially basic ones like Ethernet or display support.

I meant the firms that design the chipsets such as Intel, Realtek and similar companies would most likely provide compatible drivers even if brands like Acer or any OEM maker skips driver support for older systems (and in certain situations, legacy Windows drivers can still function with Windows 10)
