I can try to play DoTA 2 without a dedicated GPU, but performance will be limited. Running it at high settings may still work, though it might feel sluggish.

Sure, it might work well with good configurations.

Begin at 720p with minimal graphics options, then increase settings progressively to find the optimal performance.

My Mac's Iris Pro isn't smooth at 1080p with 60fps, especially in D2 when settings are high. Still, it should manage Dota fine.

I don't have enough context to give a clear recommendation. Consider your specific needs and constraints before deciding.

If it's not too long, I'd choose integrated graphics and save up.

Well then, when it's time, I'll figure out which GPU to keep... haha. Thanks!

I checked out Dota2 on my notebook. It has a dual-core i7 processor, Intel HD4000 graphics, and a resolution of 1280x800. The 4690 should perform much better, though the Steam FPS counter shows it varies a lot. I mostly watched from the sidelines since I’m not good at playing, but some matches were around 25 while others reached 57-65.
