I just assembled an ultra-high-end system and spent time thinking about my projects. After pushing AAA titles to their limits and running benchmarks… a feeling of emptiness took over. I miss Ratchet and Clank, Crash Bandicoot, and I’d love to play Jack and Daxter. To my friends online, I’ve tried searching without success… any ideas? Can I run Xbox 360, PS, PS1, PS2 or even PS3 games on a PC? I need to find out. Thanks, Mr. Nostalgia.

Using a powerful machine and an emulator is necessary. Physical disks aren't allowed; you must download ROMs instead.

I remember PSX and PSX2 for PlayStation 1 and 2, and Xeon for the original Xbox. I also recall a faulty, low-frame-rate emulator for Xbox 360 or PS3 that I can't quite name.

Thanks! It seems there might be no need to keep the discs. Downloading ROMs isn’t necessary if you don’t need them. You could consider selling or using them creatively instead.

Discs as downloading roms? I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by this. Could you direct me to a link?

It’s viewed as illegal to download ROMs without owning the original discs, but searching for them online can provide access if you already have the media.

Space, modernism, and... the real motive. Cash. The PS2 is at my dad’s (divorced) mom’s house. My mom is selling the family Xbox. I don’t own a PS1, PS3, or Xbox1, so it makes more sense to just buy the games and try to run them on the computer. Plus, my monitor is a 48-inch TV, so I won’t miss any of what consoles offer.
