You're considering boosting performance on your older system. Overclocking the CPU with Afterburner might be possible, though it's not guaranteed. The AMD FX-8320 has limited overclocking potential compared to newer chipsets. Your GPU, the Asus GTX 660, is also overclockable, but you'll need a compatible motherboard. The 32GB RAM at 1333MHz is decent for overclocking, so long as it stays stable.

Afterburner is a tool for boosting GPU performance. If your motherboard can't be overclocked, you won't be able to do it with this software.

AMD Overdrive doesn’t fully support FX chips, though it can help with some older models. Even back then, overclocking was restricted on many laptops.

In the afterburner, you see an option to adjust the clock speed for the CPU and RAM.

Consider reviewing the fundamentals first before attempting an overclock. Afterburner does not support CPU and RAM overclocking.
