I've tried searching for methods to boost my Intel Core i3-3240 but only found the bezel mod technique. The issue is I don't know which pin to tape on an OptiPlex 3010 motherboard. Are there other options for overclocking this CPU? Thank you.

By default it's a non-OCABLE CPU, and connecting one to an OptiPlex board isn't recommended.

For a substantial improvement, consider moving to an i5 or i7 processor, which allows you to double the number of cores.
