I don’t need another Windows copy. I own the disc from Microsoft, but without an optical drive. Is it possible to move the installation files to a USB so I can download them?

You can save the ISO file and then generate the installation media, provided you possess a valid Windows key.

That's exactly what the post described. You can locate the ISO file, use tools like USB installers or similar programs to create a bootable USB drive, and then plug it in to start the installation. It works instantly. I tried this when setting up Windows without a CD drive. EDIT: If you're attempting to install Windows on multiple systems simultaneously, the key may block it, so plan accordingly. If you move the installation after uninstalling the original, it should function properly.

Yes, simply download the ISO and installation media onto a flash drive from Microsoft's website and apply the product key provided in the packaging.

That's correct, I followed the same method when building the USB installer.
