It should set up in the same manner as a standard Ryzen system. If you own the components, just attempt it. However, avoid using Windows 7 nowadays. What's the point of needing Windows 7? I own an R5 1600 and successfully used Windows 7 on it. I also had a 2200G briefly, but the Windows 7 install caused a BSOD during boot. Using a modified ISO with drivers didn’t help. It’s possible the issue lies elsewhere, though a newer Threadripper might still work if it’s compatible.
