maybe a simple question, I've looked everywhere and it's hard to find a clear answer. I've been playing GTA 5 on PC recently, using keyboard and mouse for ground movement and controller for flying. It feels similar to the console—tapping "a" speeds up running, but holding shift doesn't. Is there a way to match the controller speed with keyboard input? Or am I misunderstanding something obvious? Thanks.

Pressing A or X on the PS controller gives you the same speed as holding Shift. Holding A or X slows you down, just like pressing the shift key. Therefore, using shift actually reduces your speed compared to keeping it on.

Seems strange, but it looked quicker to me. Maybe my comparison wasn’t strong enough. Edit: no problem, just did several checks and you’re correct—thanks!
