I'm not sure. Perhaps you should purchase them again and mention it as a gift, like Steam. I don't really understand.

I've never given away a game as a gift, even on Steam. When I do, the recipient has to pay for it? I assumed they'd receive it for free since I'm sending it to them.

Steam offers a similar option—choose "Purchase as a Gift" instead of "Purchase for Myself" at checkout. Afterward, you can transfer the item to friends on your list. This applies to games bought via Steam, though it's unclear if the same works directly through Uplay. I'm open to trying but prefer minimizing use of Uplay.

They can't be sent as a gift via uPlay. Certain games may provide a code for sharing with friends, though this isn't an official uPlay function.

On Steam (not familiar with Uplay), adding to your cart and proceeding to checkout offers a gift-purchase choice. You make the payment, while the recipient receives the product.

It seems like you're frustrated about paying for something only to receive it for free. That's really confusing! If you're trying to send a game, you might need to pay for delivery or access. Let me know how I can help clarify this!

It's unusual when expenses cover the cost. Share the wiki page or Steam link if you wish to discuss the game.
