Your Wi-Fi connection is unstable and often slows down. Pings to popular sites like 8.8.8.8 can exceed 300 ms, and speeds rarely surpass 70 Mbps. The issue seems linked to your router's placement—being in a poor spot likely affects performance. Consider moving it closer to a window or higher up for better signal strength.

The connection is fast—7 milliseconds and 175 megabits per second are excellent speeds.

You can achieve higher speeds by using a wired connection, especially with an upgraded modem or router. This often provides more stable and faster internet performance compared to wireless options.

You can boost your Wi-Fi speed by subscribing to a paid service. What is your current ISP plan? How much do your parents spend on it? You might consider a power cycler, which I’ve used before—it switches your router on and off nightly (around 3 AM). I once used one with Comcast.

It can be beneficial if it turns itself off at night. Also, it’s an AT&C.

Ensures the channel remains active and free from congestion. Routers set automatic updates during specific intervals, but you can manually trigger refreshes by switching them on and off.

Which service are you using—U-Verse, 5G, or DSL? Which plan fits? What router model do you own? How much distance separates you from it? If you link via WiFi for testing, does performance boost? WiFi often behaves unpredictably.
