Yes, you can disable the motherboard's RGB lights using the Polychrome software. If you uninstall the software, the lights should stop working unless you reinstall it.

Yes, I understand but I'm new to BIOS and really anxious about trying it. I've heard that using ASRock Polychrome can disable the RGB lights completely. Would removing that software restore the RGB functionality?

Don't be concerned, everything should be fine as long as you don’t alter settings haphazardly. You can always reset it if needed. It might be a good idea to get comfortable with it now, since you’ll likely want to reach its maximum speed in the BIOS. I’m not sure if the system retains settings after removing the software—someone else may have more insight on that.

I’m fine with the RAM running slower because I don’t play games much. The difference between 2666mhz and 2933mhz is not too significant, I believe. Thanks for the details!
