Well, the title gives a good idea, but if you want more clarity on whether it’s possible, here are some points to consider. First, the RoboRio runs a microcomputer that needs to be linked through Wi-Fi—specifically a router made for it. We’d need a dedicated device to upload code, which isn’t cheap. My suggestion is to use a budget laptop, run a virtual machine on it, and connect the host to Wi-Fi while linking the VM to the RoboRio’s router. After setting everything up, we could use TeamViewer to access the robot from home and upload code remotely. The RoboRio can handle code transfer via Ethernet, but for remote uploads we’d need internet access, which conflicts with the requirement to stay on the robot’s network. So there’s a trade-off between cost and functionality.

The device requires a network interface card to link with Wi-Fi and display your local IP address directly, not through a NAT setup.

You require a VM because it allows remote access to the robot's machine, but your connection isn't establishing properly.
