Do you understand if your computer can link to that ZTE F50 5G router using a USB-C cable that supplies power? The instructions mention it should work, which sounds convenient. I prefer straightforward solutions.

Based on my observations, the majority of cell modems featuring USB connections support using them via the USB port rather than relying solely on WiFi or Ethernet. They function similarly to standard USB network adapters.

Your computer is linked to your older 4G router through a microUSB connection. I didn’t notice any indication that data transfer happens alongside the power supply. Could this be happening? Updated June 26, 2025 by leclod

I completely don’t understand. Give it a try! You may need to install a driver for it to function.

This option doesn't indicate backing it up.

There is no mention of connecting via a USB cable for internet access; the USB is only used to supply power.

The manual mentions two communication methods: Wi-Fi and USB-C. You might have additional insights later.

For details, it functions properly. I operate the gadget and receive information through a single USB-C port. (It doesn’t require the mentioned 2A, as I don’t have them.)
