I possess 10g from my ISP and require this switch to establish two additional 10g connections for my PC and NAS. I'm unsure if you can connect the router to one of the 10g ports instead of the 1g port, despite the manual suggesting otherwise. Can you reach the managed website through the 10g ports? Do you need extra equipment from another vendor?

The Unifi controller handles the switch operations.

It depends on what you mean by "hardware." If you're talking about physical components, then yes, it's separate hardware like a dedicated card or module. If you're referring to software, it's not hardware at all—it runs on your PC's processor and memory.

You can use a Ubiquiti CloudKey, a Dream Machine (Pro), run the controller on your phone, or execute the controller software on your PC.
