No files are available to download. The issue lies in the emulator failing to simulate the guitar controller.

This shouldn't pose a problem since the guitar controller simply mimics a standard one. The frets act as face buttons and the r1 channel should map to the d-pad. Consider using tools like Lilypad. Also, ensure the input routing from the controller to your software works correctly.

Guitar Hero Metallica is targeting the specific Guitar Hero controller to identify itself. The software needs that unique identifier to function properly. If the emulator isn’t transmitting the correct key, the program will keep raising complaints regardless of your actions. It’s similar to how Time Crisis detects whether a GunCon plug is connected or not. However, Guitar Hero’s approach seems inefficient since Konami’s Beatmania ignores whether you’re using the right controller if you select the incorrect input.

I recall that situation, but you managed to play Time Crisis without the guncon too. It supported controller use and the guitar heroes worked well with it (played this way for a while). Setting it up with pcsx2 was another challenge and I hope lilypad can help. @Mini Van Dan How are you linking the controller to the PC?

It also relies on whether the GH:M setup needs the GH controller to function properly.

I did a brief search online. Guitar Hero World Tour needs an actual instrument to function. Because the emulator can’t mimic a GH controller, it won’t work with GH:Metallica.

PCSX2 supports a guitar controller feature where the pad appears as a guitar controller. Implementing the real guitar controller works differently than what was mentioned earlier.

I managed to locate the issue and tried adjusting it to see if it would function, but it didn’t work. Now that it’s mimicking a guitar instead of a controller, I’m facing problems with it not operating properly.

The main concern is which guitar controller works with the system. After Harmonix and Red Octane changed their approaches, the protocols split. It seems Rock Band introduced a new controller standard that didn’t match the older ones. Check the official page for details—it’s quite confusing.
