I’m trying to optimize my Lenovo Chromebook 500e 2nd gen for better performance. Despite having Wi-Fi speeds up to 200 Mbps, I only reach about 300 KB/s. Can I improve this speed?

You can't connect via Ethernet without an adapter, and you're unsure about reinstalling the driver on your Chromebook.

Your issue stems from the internet connection, not just your Wi-Fi. EDIT: If it worked earlier, you might have hit a data cap.

I don’t understand your service plan details. Certain data packages may restrict your speed at specific limits, while mobile plans often cap at 64 kbps. Verify if this applies and discover why you’re exceeding the threshold. Consider a more suitable option that matches your requirements. Your laptop should handle significantly higher speeds than that.
