I’m planning to assemble a very affordable PC and one thing is limiting me: the operating system. Every Windows version I can find on Amazon or PCPartPicker costs at least $100. That puts a big strain on your budget when you’re trying to keep it low. But I’ve heard from several sources—like this forum and the Teksyndicate YouTube channel—that you can obtain free or very cheap Windows copies if you know the right places. Still, I’m unsure where to go without falling for scams or risking my system with unsafe downloads. Do you know any reliable sources for budget Windows options? Thanks in advance.

G2A or U can get the Windows 10 preview and stay a long time testing it, but you must install every update they provide.

The update has a restriction. Microsoft has stopped releasing the Technical Preview anymore. You can still use it, though you can't get it directly from the website.
