I own a machine from 2009 that’s powered by an Intel Core 2 Quad that’s been overclocked to 3.5Ghz and paired with a Nvidia Quadro K620. It runs on 8GB of DDR2 memory at 1333Mhz. Both the CPU and GPU are built around an older EVGA 132-CK-NF79 card, using the NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra chipset and south bridge. The setup includes a 1000w power supply that doesn’t show any 80+ certification, along with a 1TB WB Black HDD drive. There’s also a floppy disk drive—size unknown. No matter how outdated it seems, this setup still performs adequately for basic gaming tasks.
I recently transformed an LGA775 Core 2 Duo 6400 into a keychain. Don’t worry, it was already beyond repair. That’s why I made it.
I used a 3.0ghz Q6600, four 1gb DDR2 modules, an Radeon HD3650, and a Dell motherboard. It worked for playing MC at 720p.
