8GB of RAM on a $1K build seems too low, and a poor case isn't worth it.

We provide recommendations rather than strict instructions. MSi support for Ryzen motherboards? Sure, as long as you're okay with the premium RAM only running at 2666MHz—technical advice beats style advice. He can choose any case he likes. If a bad board is in his way, it limits his hardware possibilities and wastes money. Memory costs a lot now. He just mentioned wanting to play games; 8GB is more than enough. If he needs more, the 1x8GB setup was intentional for easy upgrades, letting him explore his requirements without pressure.

You found an old list in your browser and didn’t bother to look it over. It seems you were considering a deal on the FX-6300, thinking anything would bring profit. Cheers!
