It relies on your view of the potential savings. Generally, I don’t own CPUs with built-in graphics, yet I’ve used server gear that includes VGA. In my experience, I haven’t needed to rely on igpu for system troubleshooting.

People often desire 20 monitors on one card, but adding an iGPU for another 1-2 is fine. It doesn’t really affect performance. I never purchased a CPU without it.

After the Core 2 Duo era, I've never used a motherboard or CPU with an integrated GPU until now (5700G). It performed perfectly for me. If you own a functional discrete GPU, you probably don't need an integrated one. You can simply purchase a budget GPU for backup in case of issues. Currently, I'm using the 5700G and really enjoy it, especially the extra display ports.

Obtaining an Intel f SKU can cut costs by about thirty dollars, so if you have other GPUs available you might try them out to see if your system starts normally. A situation where the GPU fails completely and blocks booting is uncommon, but keep that in mind too.
