I've noticed many more offers for these models lately. I'm curious, how do they stack up against my old 4790k?

They can also be found on Aliexpress, though neither Wish nor Aliexpress is particularly famous for dependability. Aliexpress remains a superior choice compared to Wish.

For gaming, the 4790K performs better. X99 Xeons lag in single-core speed, which is crucial for most games. When it comes to rendering, video editing, and tasks needing many cores, the 4790K offers a stronger advantage.

Dual CPU isn't the best choice. With one CPU, it's fine, but you'll miss out on overclocking with Xeons. Unless you need a very high core count for something like web servers, it's not necessary.

Unless you intend to use the device for an extended period, the advantages of dual processors won’t be fully realized until it reaches significant age. I currently use a dual-core system, but it only recently proved much more useful compared to earlier years.

It's similar to your current CPU generation. You'll experience slower performance in games due to the reduced boost clock (3.5 on Xeons). Merging both CPUs for gaming usually causes problems. For dual-channel setups, you'll need twice the RAM since each processor handles its own memory paths. If you need workstation capabilities like rendering, it could be an advantage. I wouldn't suggest using a server or workstation motherboard for a regular PC. Booting up is difficult and it only sometimes functions on the nth try. By the way, avoid buying hardware from Wish and assume it will work.
