My friend talked about this in an earlier message. He’s having issues starting Windows on his new computer. He purchased an "official Boot USB" from Amazon. Do these really exist? I’m worried he might have gotten a fake one. I looked up but didn’t find any real ones, though someone might know. Please let me know what you think, Jack.

It's basically the same as old DVDs. It's similar to what you make on your own, though it might be less reliable because the USB drives are cheap and tend to overheat quickly. The ISO formats available aren't the latest options you can download straight from the source.

The connection seems helpful, but Lo’s comments indicate concern due to an error code suggesting corrupted boot files or installation issues. Yes, you can transfer the data from the affected flash drive to another device to begin troubleshooting and recovery steps.

Consider downloading the latest ISO from Microsoft and installing it on another USB drive. Official installers are what these are.
