Do you have any recommendations for Quake-style games available on Mac? I found them in the PC gaming area and they look like a good fit. Thanks!

But seriously, is there not a mod for something like counter stirke that will work?

You could launch the arena directly or employ a Windows virtual machine; Quake is an older title, making it feasible to execute via a VM. The initial Quake version even functions in DOSBox, and many Quake titles are accessible on macOS as well.

PC gaming must encompass Windows, Mac, and Linux since these are all types of PCs. Wouldn't using an emulator be a viable alternative?

Reflex is a great choice similar to Quake, offering smooth movement and impressive visuals. However, its early access status means fewer players are currently enjoying it.
