I checked for single-socket motherboards compatible with the LGA1567 platform. There are affordable options available on eBay, especially for the 10-core Xeon models, making it a cost-effective choice if such a board exists.
I don't believe that. Besides, the results would be poor. These parts are built for many cores with better single-core speed, which is what games rely on. Also, since LGA1567 was intended for servers only, you're likely to see just server models. You might want to look on AliExpress.
I’ll have some differences here, though much of what’s being discussed on AE seems questionable. Some of the x58/x79/x99 boards coming out are actually quite intriguing—featuring OC features, M.2 slots, and capabilities Intel didn’t originally plan for the C6xx chipsets. There are even dedicated channels on YouTube that review these boards, along with a growing community of support and BIOS mods for those wanting top value systems. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8h2Sf-...eEUr-OHgyg (exclusive reviews on those boards) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9Tn-at...P-oqui7bhw (covers a lot of reviews on those boards)
yeah i know about those channels. philscomputerlab also reviews the boards. none of them have videos of 1567 boards so i wasnt sure if they exist. if the performance is gonna be bad i wont bother investigating it but a budget 10 core cpu would be interesting to say the least. most of the e5 10 core cpus are still a little pricey because of the increase of demand from chinese recycle boards. so i was hoping there was a way to get a super cheap 10 core. i have a 3700x so it was more of a curiosity question than something i would actually use.
I’d set it up for a budget Minecraft server for your friends, without needing top-tier performance since a multicore setup is straightforward to manage.
