And there are no viruses with DesMume, correct? I'm very cautious about what I download and prefer not to have antivirus software installed, just to stay safe.

In my opinion, it’s quite handy—it lets you link and trade Pokémon easily, and you can save snapshots to load them on an Android phone. You can also copy the saved file directly from the game. Still, I favor snapshot backups for safety.
