What game do you like most? I've really enjoyed DW9 Empires a lot. The main issue is that every fight feels like a siege battle, which makes it a bit repetitive but still enjoyable. I'm hoping they will enhance the combat in the next installment instead of reverting to old ideas or creating something entirely new.
I lost interest eventually. Initially began playing just for the sake of exploring The Three Kingdoms history from childhood. It works well as a basic way to unwind.
I believe there have been numerous shifts in the main gameplay over time. If people can enjoy first-person shooter titles for many years without much innovation, then why not extend peon management indefinitely? It doesn’t really matter. Have you tried the empire spin-offs?
I first encountered Dynasty Warrior 3 Empires on PS2, which was my initial introduction to the franchise. The scene with Da Qiao in a miniskirt and battling massive fans caught my attention. Koei did a great job reinterpreting the story of the Three Kingdoms. However, as the game progressed, I found the mechanics repetitive. While graphics improved, everything felt familiar—just a fast-paced battle style that didn’t change much from what came before. I eventually moved on to other titles and traded in for different games.
