It's connected to the CPU fan. You did it right. The main thing is to open BIOS and look at the fan curves. Ensure the pump stays on when it gets warm. The pump works best at full speed, so you can adjust that in BIOS if needed.

Hmm, actually the pump needs to connect to the PUMP header, while the fans should go to another fan header—like the CPU fan. The BIOS warning about the CPU fan header can be ignored and turned off. This matters more for powerful standalone pumps than for weak AIO models.

They don’t have a standard AIO pump connector like some boards do. I connected it the way I thought was best. The difference between 2A and 3A isn’t that big. I’d prefer the CPU fan warning if the pump fails rather than fans stopping completely. It’s more noticeable when fans stop than when the pump doesn’t. There’s no clear reason to turn it off.

I agree, it makes sense to place fans where needed and keep track of fan speed and pump performance.
