Your computer has been acting strangely lately, freezing and slowing down even when you thought it was fine. Recently, it’s been struggling with tasks like running multiple tabs, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and YouTube. Your RAM usage is high—about 70% during light use and nearly full during intense tasks. You have 16GB of DDR5 RAM, but it seems like it’s not being used efficiently. It’s possible the issue isn’t just Firefox consuming memory, but something else affecting performance. If you suspect a RAM problem, upgrading to at least 32GB would be a good step.

The task manager indicates that your system is utilizing the majority of available RAM. You mentioned you’d preferred 32GB but 16GB might be sufficient.

I've just rebooted my computer, but it seems Firefox is consuming most of the memory.

There seems to be an issue here. Your current setup is heavy—many tabs and programs are running—which could indicate a problem. It might be a virus or faulty RAM. Run thorough antivirus scans and perform Windows diagnostics to fix the problem.

I try MalwareBytes, it appears to be one of the top choices with minimal interference.
