The person who shared these temps should cease offering guidance. These are excellent settings for gaming, comfortably safe. Keeping it below 85°C for the 12900k model is ideal for intense play.

You didn’t need to increase the fan speed. The earlier temperatures were still excellent. I’d use your prior readings without the extra fan noise every time. Both instances showed great temperatures, and there was nothing close to any risky levels.
