wifi in my hp pavillion 15 gaming is facing several problems. it reset the whole laptop, but all the fixes online still show latency and disconnections. i’m considering swapping the wifi card, but opening it again would be a hassle. instead, i’m planning to upgrade to the best available option, which is the one i want to purchase here: https://www.amazon.com/Killer-Wi-Fi-AX16...uage=en_US. my laptop has a ryzen 5 3550h and had ram upgraded once, but amazon says this card is only for intel systems—my x570 mobile supports intel wifi/bluetooth, so i’m not sure.
The conclusion could be yes, perhaps. HP once allowed certain WiFi cards but apparently no longer does. The best way to confirm is testing it yourself. I tend to favor the AX200 over the Killer cards since many users report problems with the latter's software.
I followed your suggestion and purchased the AX200. I don’t want to have to open the laptop again.
It's not true, since the Killer is essentially just an upgraded version of the AX200 and you're paying more without getting anything better.
Thanks a lot, I really appreciated the help. Saving me about ten dollars and fixing everything is amazing—I thought Realtek Wireless wasn’t doing too well, but the wireless card was acting up so badly that it was surprising how quickly it worked again.
