I prefer not to lease a router from my ISP for additional charges. If staying on my current setup works, getting over 950 Mbps via wired connection would be ideal.

If your ISP’s signal can be understood by your router without needing the ISP’s equipment, it might function properly.

You can connect via an adapter that converts SFP to RJ45, then link it to your router’s WAN port with DHCP enabled.
