You're starting your first PC build with great timing! The NZXT N5-z690 you received is a solid choice for beginners. Since it's refurbished, you have the option to return it if needed. Make sure to check the bent pins carefully—while they might look bent, they could still be functional. Overall, it seems like a solid investment with good value. Good luck with your build!

I believe a change is needed. They may adjust the wording, but having several bent pins makes it impossible to label it as both "refurbished" and "in excellent condition." It's similar to claiming a car with a broken piston is both in great shape and performs well.

They seem likely to live up to the 90-day guarantee. Appreciate you checking it out—it didn’t quite match my expectations, but this is my first project, so I wasn’t entirely confident.

Support the others and get it sent over quickly. If there are bent pins in the CPU socket, it’s clear someone was careless—tech or previous owner, it doesn’t matter. It’s not your responsibility to cover their mistakes. Especially for a young person just starting out; that’s not fair. If they push back, stay firm and let them know you’ll handle it. You might want to reach out to Steve at Gamers Nexus—he’d appreciate hearing about a first-time builder being taken advantage of.
