Hi!
I have an Hp Elitebook 8770w with an i7 3630qm processor, 2.4 ghz, 3.2 turbo boost, Nvidia Quadro k3000m 2gb, and 8gb RAM. Temperatures are normal during regular use – CPU around 40-45°C, GPU about 25°C. Under heavy load (gaming, CAD), CPU reaches 65-75°C and GPU 45-65°C. These readings occur with my Cooler Master U3 cooler. Would it be safe to overclock the notebook? Thanks for your advice!

Officially, it isn't possible to overclock. There might be some third-party tools that could handle it, though. Should you attempt it? Probably not. Laptops are built to manage heat from standard CPUs at normal operating conditions.
While temperatures between 65-75°C may seem manageable, pushing voltages higher will likely cause significant overheating.
You might consider trying it (I don’t know of any specific software, but I’m fairly certain one exists), but I wouldn’t suggest it.
