When an APU is part of a system, it lacks PCIe Gen 4 capabilities since APUs only offer Gen 3 support.

Your CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G. Could this be the issue? You're currently using its built-in GPU, not a dedicated one.

This implies you'd likely need a different processor for Gen4, as your current one from 2021 probably isn't compatible. It's also worth noting it may not be an APU and could have limited graphics performance.

AMD labels any chip with built-in graphics as an APU. That’s the only option—choose between PCIe4 or integrated graphics, but not both. Right now, PCIe4 isn’t really necessary.
