It should be fine, the best option is. You won't run into problems when OC'ing https://pcpartpicker.com/product/BHBhP6/...g-plus-max If you're also adding a GPU, consider getting the R5 1600AF, if you can locate it.

It wouldn't be wise to let VRM overheat, as it might damage the motherboard. Third-generation Ryzen processors aren't optimized for performance tuning, so undervolting and adjusting CPU frequency in PBO are the most effective solutions.

Avoid purchasing these units. All A320 models are generally unreliable (except the Asrock A320 Pro4, which actually includes a cooled VRM). The A320 model doesn’t support overclocking the CPU. Consider using a B450 board instead. Asrock B450M Pro4, Gigabyte B450M DS3H or similar options work better. The MSI B450M Pro M2 isn’t recommended—it lacks a heatsink and has a bare VRM. A320 cases aren’t worth the investment. For Intel 2000–3000GE systems, and for browsing purposes, they’re acceptable. However, they’re not suitable for serious builds. In my opinion.

There are some confusing naming conventions for these boards. I've encountered A320 models that also mention B350 chipsets, which doesn't make much sense. Regardless, I'd avoid them since A320 boards likely still use outdated VRM designs, making overclocking risky.
