I was browsing and decided to upgrade with an A320M-A Pro and an AMD A6 9500 APU. I’m considering a Ryzen CPU but am unsure which model supports the latest BIOS version. There are mixed reports online—some say only the first generation works, others claim all generations are compatible. I just want to confirm Ryzen compatibility with those boards.
They back all generations with the right BIOS, except for the Ryzen 5000/Zen 3 models. I could be mistaken.
The maker's site lists compatible CPUs for this board, but Ryzen 5000 isn't included. On the BIOS documentation I found nothing about removing support for x/y/z CPUs, which means the current CPU guide applies to the latest BIOS version. Remember, A320 boards aren't usually the most cost-effective choice and aren't advised unless you want a B450 model for better performance and features.
The CPU QVL lists approved processors and the required BIOS versions for compatibility. You can view it here: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/...upport-cpu
