You have a setup with multiple power connectors. You need to decide whether to use all four 4-pin connectors or combine them with the two 8-pin ones. Check your PSU manual for specific guidelines on connecting the cables. The diagram should clarify which configuration is recommended.

Only one 8-pin connector is sufficient unless you wish to perform DICE or LN2 overclocking. Note that the instructions match precisely what is described on the manual page you referenced.

The cat looks adorable... anyway, everything works fine because you connected it all at once. Smile I used two 8-pin connectors but realized I only needed one.

The 8-pin appears to fit into the PSU directly. Using both the 4-pin on the slot and the 4-pin connection should allow for overclocking. Thanks. The cat isn't mine—it belongs to my roommate, who loves my bed but hates air in a can.

It's completely modular, but only one side fits in the PSU. The CPU side connects to the motherboard via the CPU power connector—typically it uses a 4+4 pin layout, which you can join together. Some models come with an 8-pin version.
