I exchanged my Steam library with a friend yesterday so he could test Rainbow Six Siege for a short time before buying it. He lacks funds for the complete edition, so he intends to buy the starter version. I wondered if his Rainbow Six Siege data is handled by Uplay instead of Steam. If he plays the game and unlocks operators after creating an account on the shared full version, then buys the starter edition, will that retain all his unlocked operators and possibly preserve the full version's unlocking system? What are your thoughts?

It looks like you're checking for a saved file on your local drive, so it should be available.
