Your issue could be related to a deleted or overwritten file. I handle this myself to prevent complications like this since reverting is simpler. I’d attempt to remove the mod and check if your previous files remain intact. If they do, try reinstalling gradually—only changing one file at a time—until the problem resolves.

I managed to get it running, but an overlay isn't allowed. With both Steam overlay and NZXT CAM FPS counter active, the game crashed when launching.
