I’m wondering if it’s possible to remove the 8GB of onboard memory and swap it for a larger module, so you’d have more than just 16GB of dual-channel RAM. This is purely out of curiosity—just for fun. Linus often experiments with tech, so it would be cool to see him try it. Or maybe this is just a silly idea (probably), but it’s interesting to consider. I’m also planning to get a G14 soon and might want a compact gaming laptop later, so having upgrade options in mind is helpful.
It can't be changed since it relies on a security chip for protection. You might want to get the 32 GB version of G14 instead. I already use one with R9 4900HS, RTX 2080, and 32 GB RAM—it really works well.
Sorry, the keyboard is acting up a bit. You meant 2060 but if you're looking for the real unicorn, check this part of heaven with a 300 Hz G-Sync display.
