Heylo, you're facing a common issue with powerline Ethernet. The setup in room 1 works fine, but moving to another room causes a huge drop in performance. You're wondering if you can upgrade to two new powerlines for the rooms and connect them directly without using Wi-Fi. That might help, but it depends on your landlord's approval since phase couplers could be needed. If not, Wi-Fi is the next best option, though signal quality will likely suffer due to walls.

Are you discussing power line adapters? I haven't heard of "power lan." If you mean power line adapters, they should be connected together, but running a cable might not fully resolve the problem. However, if you can run a cable from the second adapter to another room, directing it to the computer would be manageable, even if it's not in the wall.

Sorry, Powerline (in Germany we referred to them as Power-Lan)

Powerline adapters act as simple bridges, transforming a layer 1 signal. You might connect two adapter pairs and see it function, but performance varied. I’m assuming you mean: router to Ethernet cable → PL0/1 → power line → PL0/2 → Ethernet → PL1/1 → power line → PL1/2?

It shouldn't be an issue.
