Affordable titles are available, with many chances to obtain free games. Metro 2033 was accessible for free on PC recently, and Valve could once more offer left4dead2 at no cost during Christmas.

You're free to download porn, of course it's worthwhile.

You accumulate more value on your PC by purchasing cheaper games over time. Recently, I bought Left 4 Dead 2 at Best Buy for $19.99 and found it discounted on Steam for around $5.00. Many classic multiplayer titles remain popular, like CS:GO 1.6, COD 2, and Unreal Tournament. In the console scene, these games are being phased out as Xbox and PS shift to new platforms. On PC, you can enjoy countless free-to-play titles. While Xbox and PS are slowly introducing free games, Planetside 2 stands out as a favorite—similar to a futuristic Battlefield experience. When Battlefield 3 and 4 launched, they cost $59.99 each; saving that amount would be significant for someone like me. I estimate I’ve saved about $180 this year through Steam sales and free games. This money could easily fund a car or other expenses. For me, the appeal lies in combining sales, free content, indie titles, and a versatile setup—like using my PC for studying, browsing, gaming, and even working from home. I also appreciate having a rich music library and a comfortable environment to focus on tasks.

You own both a gaming setup and a work/school machine, which means it's not just a single-purpose device. It’s more than just a limited console that will wear out quickly for gaming. Investing in an SSD would make a big difference. If you can’t afford one, save up more so your system runs smoothly or consider upgrading to a faster model. For casual gaming at home, a PC is the way to go. While it’s possible to connect a PC to a TV, the picture quality won’t be great due to low refresh rates. I recommend sticking with a PC if you want better performance. If you’re open to exploring consoles, go ahead—just be aware of their limitations.

If I were in high school or college, I’d pick the service most of my peers used, which turned out to be PC. Now I just purchase them all since I can afford it.
