It depends on how the driver is handling it. Some may not be affected while others might. Please clarify the scenario and components involved.

I'm setting up adapters for the four-pole cable on my JBL Everest 700 with a PC. It will separate the headphone and microphone jacks, and I'll also link Logitech speakers to either the MSI B350 Mortar or the ASRock A320 or B350 Pro 4 based on cost.

Certainly! I assume you're connecting the speakers to the rear of the motherboard and the headphones to the front panel connector.

I’m setting up an extension to secure the adapter and cables at the base of my desk for easy headphone connection

I can't confirm with certainty. However, I’d probably say no. My setup lets me move between the front panel and back of the board, but it’s a more costly option. It might be worth reaching out to MSI or Asrock directly for advice on this particular situation. Someone here may have the relevant boards and could help. You could create a new post with a clear title like “2 independent audio outputs using _________ motherboard?”

You're referring to audio interfaces or external devices. PCs typically don't have aux inputs—they have speakers and line outputs, with surround options for specific channels.
