There might be a problem where your hardware stays active because of V-Sync.

Checked all settings thoroughly. Playing Witcher 3 repeatedly on my 1080 has kept frames steady at 88 or higher. Tried increasing temperatures but nothing changed. Seems the issue isn’t performance loss—it’s about stability.
