On Windows 11 there isn’t a small icons mode for the taskbar. I couldn’t right-click it to open Task Manager, so I had to pin it. It seems there’s no option to add the clock on the second monitor or drag the taskbar around. Why would they make things more difficult and take away features?

Restore the experience similar to Windows 10. Be aware that updates can cause issues, so you might have to wait for new fixes to be available. https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher

They seem to aim for a simpler design instead of adding more functionality.

The clock not showing on secondary screens is my main complaint, yet I've used ElevenClock for months without considering it.

nowadays users favor the overly simple "minimalistic" style, no clear reason but it’s the norm. it makes sense why Microsoft is pushing Windows toward a cleaner look to match what most people expect, even if it hides essential options and shortcuts. this often turns basic actions into frustrating tasks. don’t waste time complaining—there are already solutions, and someone made a video about improving W11 by bringing back useful features. check it out!

only the solutions required payment. i tried startbackback for a couple of weeks and it recovered most of the data until it demanded the license charge
